I had GPT rewrite the script for normies:

The founders of our country looked at the history of other republics that fell apart and realized that the same dangers that ruined them are still around today. 🕰️ They knew that these dangers would always be there and that each new generation would need to fight against them. That’s why they believed tradition is super important—it’s like the foundation of how we teach and learn. 🏛️ Tradition isn’t just about old customs; it’s about keeping each generation ready to defend our freedoms.

The kind of education the founders had in mind isn’t about just reminiscing about the past or getting lost in memories. 🕰️ It’s about actively protecting each new generation from the constant threats that try to take away our freedom. 🛡️ When Thomas Jefferson talked about keeping people safe, he wasn’t thinking about building walls or physical barriers. 🧱 Instead, he meant guarding people against sneaky and corrupt governments that try to control or oppress them through clever tricks and illegal actions. 🕵️‍♂️

A powerful tool that dictatorships use is psychological manipulation. 🧠 They mess with people's minds by confusing them, making them doubt what’s real and who they are as a community. 😵‍💫 This tactic aims to break down the shared understanding and common ground that hold a society together, even across different religious or political beliefs. By doing this, they make people easier to control and divide. 🧩

People in a community share a common understanding of who they are and how they see the world, which they express and reinforce through their relationships with family, friends, and the broader community. 👫👨‍👩‍👦 Even though we have different beliefs—whether religious, political, or cultural—we all live in the same real world. 🌍 But in schools, there’s often an effort to teach us to think in a way that’s more about personal feelings than about objective reality. This can lead to everyone seeing things so differently that it breaks down that shared understanding, making it harder for us to connect with each other. 🧠

This "curse" refers to a kind of brainwashing that ties people's emotions to a group identity, making them easy targets for manipulation. 😵‍💫 It’s like a spell that keeps people trapped in a mindset where they’re easily divided and controlled. ✋🧠 This is exactly what Thomas Jefferson warned about—a situation where, if people stay ignorant and just believe whatever they’re told, they become vulnerable to oppressive forces. These forces can rise up and take over, using the "divide and conquer" strategy to keep people weak and divided. 🧩🔒

To fight against the harmful ideas that are spreading in our schools and workplaces, we need to understand where these ideas come from—the ones that say we can't really know what's real and that we just make up the world in our heads. 🧠🌍 These ideas are causing us to become mentally stuck, unable to think clearly or push back logically against harmful beliefs. 🤯 Instead, we react emotionally, and this is leading to some serious issues, like students getting caught up in extreme activism, hurting themselves, or falling into deep despair. 🆘

The problems we’re seeing today—where people are being mentally manipulated—aren’t just random; they’re rooted in some big philosophical mistakes that go way back, even to the very start of public education. 🏫 These errors have laid the groundwork for the way our minds are being messed with now. It’s like a faulty foundation that’s been causing cracks in the way we think and learn ever since. 🧱🤯

A lot of the problems in education come from certain philosophies that have been around for a while. 🧠📚 These ideas, like "metaphysical idealism" (which focuses on the idea that reality is shaped by our thoughts) and "philosophical pragmatism" (which emphasizes practical outcomes over fixed truths), have allowed some pretty messed-up ideologies to spread. 🌐 As a result, many students today are stuck in a mindset where they can’t even grasp the basic principles of freedom and self-determination that our country was built on. 🇺🇸🔓 They’re so caught up in these confusing ideas that they can’t see what’s real, making it hard for them to function in the real world. 🤯

The way we naturally are as humans has been attacked and twisted by certain theories that aren’t really about understanding us, but about changing who we are. 🧠🔄 This has been part of a long-term effort, especially in schools and universities, to undermine the principles of freedom that our Constitution protects. 🎓✍️ The main target has been our individual sense of self—how we understand who we are and how we navigate the world based on that understanding, which many believe is given to us by our Creator. 🙏 This attack on our nature and identity makes it harder for us to live freely and truthfully.

No matter what we believe—whether we're religious, atheist, or somewhere in between—we all agree on one basic thing: we didn’t create ourselves. 🌱 This is something that unites us as humans, even before we get into any deep discussions about philosophy, religion, or society. 🧠🌍 This shared understanding is important because it reminds us that our human nature is unchangeable (immutable), and we have limits—we’re not perfect or all-powerful. 🙌 Recognizing this keeps us grounded and connected to one another.

The basic beliefs about reality and human nature (our "metaphysical grounding") are what education should be built on, like the foundation of a house. 🏠 The American Revolution is unique in history because it wasn’t just about power, money, or taking over land. 🌎💥 Instead, it was fought for pure and noble ideas—like the rights of individuals—that weren’t mixed up with selfish goals like building a family dynasty, controlling trade, or conquering other nations. 🗽 These high ideals made the Revolution special, not just for Americans, but as an example for the whole world.

The values and traditions we’ve inherited from the time of the American Revolution are something we can be proud of. 🇺🇸 These are not just for us; we've shared them with people all over the world. 🌍 The way we teach our children about history is crucial because it plants the seeds of what it means to be a responsible and engaged citizen. 🌱👩‍🎓 What they learn shapes their sense of belonging and duty to their country as they grow up.

What kids are inspired by and taught when they’re young often shapes what they aim to achieve as adults. 🧒➡️👨‍👩‍👧 But the fact that, in 2024, even using basic terms like “manhood” and “womanhood” is controversial shows how much our thinking has been messed with by forces trying to control us. 🧠🚫 It’s a sign that these forces have seriously weakened our ability to think clearly. What we need now is education that protects and strengthens our ability to think freely and independently—what Christine Jones calls "cognitive liberty." 🧠🔓

We need an education system that helps people think for themselves and protects their mental freedom. 🧠🔓 This means teaching people how to recognize and resist manipulation, so they can make decisions based on reason and truth, not just what they're told or what’s popular. It’s about empowering individuals to maintain their mental independence in a world that often tries to take that away.

That’s great - I’m going to share that on X & might even make a separate audio post on here of that rewrite for people to share with normies just starting to gain awareness. If you want to do this to any of my other of my output on here or my X threads, that’s fine - just send me a copy for checking so I can be sure the premises & principles remain consistent & nothing’s lost in translation. This GPT rewrite was fantastic. I’m a big fan of a Team Effort to make this content as widely accessible as possible.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. Much appreciated.

Thank you for subscribing - great to have you here. What were some of the hi lights of the Cognitive Liberty Conference for you. What a wealth of presenters all at one event! The Round Tables were fantastic weren’t they! Have a glance back through the previous substack articles as they all relate to the subversion & theft of Cognitive Liberty in Education Pedagogy through the past century.
