TECHNICAL REPORT:
Nominalism: Strategic Weapon against Sovereignty & Foundations of Self Governance
Epistemological Warfare Strategic & Tactical Defence Manual
METAPHYSICAL & EPISTEMOLOGICAL SUBVERSION OF CONSERVATISM
Conservatism is structurally incapable of defending itself if it is operating within a nominalist framework. A conservatism detached from metaphysical realism will always fail because it has already conceded that reality is not fixed but flexible.
The weaponization of Nominalism against conservatism has been an epistemological warfare operation spanning centuries. This was not just a shift in politics, but a deeper attack on the metaphysical foundations of law, governance, and self-determination. The failure of modern conservatism is not just a failure of policy; it is the failure of conservatives to recognize and reject the very metaphysical premises that are being used against them. This report offers a systematic breakdown of the philosophical, epistemological, and metaphysical processes that have (purposefully?) turned conservatism into a self-defeating ideology, and defines potential necessary countermeasures to restore an effective, reality-based strategic defence for Education, Governance and Public Service going forwards.
PART I: NOMINALISM;
THE EPISTEMOLOGICAL DISEASE WITHIN CONSERVATIVE THOUGHT
The primary weakness of modern conservatism is that it accepts the enemy’s metaphysical assumptions while attempting to resist their political consequences. This guarantees failure.
What is Nominalism?
Nominalism Rejects Universals. It denies that concepts such as “truth,” “justice,” and “natural law” exist as objective realities. Instead, it claims that these are just names (nomina) that humans use for convenience; meaning they can be redefined at any time.
Nominalism Destroys Metaphysical Grounding
If concepts are just human inventions, then there is no permanent moral order to conserve. Everything becomes contingent on historical, social, and political contexts; making all law, morality, and tradition flexible.
Nominalism Redefines Law as a Construct, Not as an Expression of Justice
Under Realism: Law is an extension of the natural order; it reflects something real and unchangeable.
Under Nominalism: Law is a system of power, created by rulers and subject to redefinition.
A conservative who operates within a nominalist framework is ultimately just a slow-moving progressive - because they have already accepted that law, morality, and truth are flexible human constructs.
PART II: THE PHILOSOPHICAL & EPISTEMOLOGICAL SUBVERSION OF CONSERVATISM
The metaphysical subversion of conservatism has occurred in three major phases, each progressively eroding its ability to defend itself.
Phase 1: The Shift from Metaphysical Realism to Nominalism (14th–17th Century)
Key Figures: William of Ockham, Bacon, Hobbes
Tactical Shift: The idea that concepts do not reflect intrinsic reality but are simply humanly assigned labels was introduced.
Consequence: The foundations of law and morality shifted from Natural Law to social constructs.
Phase 2: The Reinterpretation of Knowledge as a Social Process (18th–19th Century)
Key Figures: Kant, Hegel, Mill
Tactical Shift: Truth was reframed not as an external reality, but as an evolving human experience.
Consequence: The Constitution, law, and moral principles became open to reinterpretation as “living documents.”
Phase 3: The Full Capture of Conservative Thought by Nominalism (20th–21st Century)
Key Figures: Pragmatists, Postmodernists, Technocrats
Tactical Shift: Even self-identified conservatives began defending institutions and traditions without recognizing their metaphysical foundations.
Consequence: Conservatism was redefined as a ‘proceduralist’ movement, not a movement rooted in fixed truth.
‼️By the time the 21st century arrived, the majority of conservatives no longer had the epistemic foundation to defend their own worldview. They were playing on a battlefield where the rules had already been written against them.‼️
PART III: HOW NOMINALISM NEUTRALIZES CONSERVATIVE STRATEGY
Every major conservative failure can be traced to its entrapment within a nominalist framework.
Why Do Conservatives Lose Every Major Cultural & Legal Battle?
They Defend Institutions, Not Truth
Conservatives rally around symbols, constitutions, and traditions without realizing that the left has already redefined their meaning.
They Argue for Process Instead of Principle
Instead of defending unchanging moral truths, they argue about rules, procedures, and incremental compromise.
They Accept the Reinterpretation of Law & Rights
Instead of defending Natural Law, they defend “the Constitution” as a procedural framework; not as an expression of unchanging truth.
This is why “constitutional originalists” often end up defending interpretations that would have been unthinkable to the Founders.
Every conservative political strategy is just a negotiation over how quickly they lose, because they are fighting within a metaphysical system that assumes their loss is inevitable.
STRATEGIC COUNTERMEASURES—RESTORING A REALIST CONSERVATISM
If conservatism is to be restored, it must purge Nominalism completely and return to its original foundation: a metaphysical realism that defends truth as objective, fixed, and unalterable.
Defeating Nominalist Entrenchment in Conservative Thought?
Education concerning Nominalism as an Epistemological Virus, Not a ‘Philosophical Disagreement’
Conservatives need help to realize that they have unknowingly accepted the enemy’s metaphysical premises. This has been a strategic omission from all government/ corporate/NGO funded ‘Education’. I can’t think why…..🧐 Intellectual and Cultural campaigns are required that reveal how Nominalism has shaped conservative failure.
Acknowledge Conservatism as a Movement of Truth, Not Just Preservation:
The battle is not about saving institutions; it is about restoring the recognition of objective reality.
💡Shift all conservative arguments away from procedural defences to reality-based affirmations.
Rebuild Parallel Institutions That Operate Outside Nominalist Constraints:
Establish new academies, think tanks, and media outlets rooted in realism, ensuring that conservatism has a foundation that is immune to redefinition. Once conservatives return to a Realist foundation, they will no longer be trapped in a defensive position. They will be able to reverse ideological drift and reclaim governance based on truth rather than social constructs.
‘Those who called themselves “conservators” of the Keep now spoke of keeping the structure intact, but they had abandoned the very foundation that made it meaningful. Years passed, and the Weavers knew their moment had come. “The Keep is Just a Relic” “Why do we need this Keep at all?” they asked. “It is a relic of a past age, built on old assumptions.” “We can build something new in its place; something more inclusive, more adaptable, more modern.” By now, the guardians had no answer. They had defended the Keep’s walls but had long since abandoned its purpose. They had preserved its symbols but had forgotten their meaning. They had called themselves defenders, but they had no principle left to defend. And so, the Weavers did not need to tear down the Keep. They merely declared that it no longer served a purpose. The people of Aeternum, now accustomed to believing that laws, truths, and principles were mere traditions rather than realities, watched in silence as the Keep was repurposed, its foundations erased. Some even cheered, believing they were finally free. The final irony was that the “conservators” themselves had made this possible; by defending only the form, but never the substance.’
